WithU Motorsport determined to take step forward at Andalucia Grand Prix

After his debut weekend in the class, Jakub Kornfeil returns to Jerez for the second round of the season.

Just five days after the first MotoE race of the year, the competition returns on Friday with the first Free Practices for the Andalucia GP. Jakub Kornfeil wants to take advantage of the experience he gained last week at the Jerez-Angel Nieto Circuit to continue closing the gap to his rivals.

The WithU Motorsport rider had four intense days of adaptation to MotoE in the week of the Spanish GP. The Czech only got on board his electric motorcycle for the first time for the Wednesday pre-race test, and made progress throughout the weekend. With the help of his entire team, Kornfeil was able to cut his times each time he went out on track, and only missed out on points by one place in the race, finishing 16th.

Now, with his first Grand Prix in the competition under his belt, Kornfeil faces Round 2 at Jerez from a new perspective. The Czech rider wants to continue improving his pace and riding style to reach the second round of the season able to fight for points.

The MotoE World Cup Andalucia GP will consist of two Free Practice sessions on Friday, followed by FP3 and E-Pole on Saturday. The 6-lap race will get underway on Sunday at 10:05am local time.

#84 JAKUB KORNFEIL
“After my first round of the MotoE World Cup last week, I have been able to get familiar with how the bike and the competition work. I know what aspects I have to improve. For this latest weekend at Jerez, I want to focus above all on modifying my riding style: During the race I was able to observe my rivals, and I think that if I work hard then I can continue progressing.

It is good that the second round is coming immediately after the Spanish GP, as this way I will carry over the feeling I had from the first weekend. We will also continue to work hard together with the team to analyse all the information gathered throughout the first round, in order to continue taking steps forward.”
