As the sole Moto3 session of the day got underway, DRIVE M7 SIC Racing Team riders Zulfahmi Khairuddin and Jakub Kornfeil, set out to improve the setup on their 2015 KTM machines.
Despite struggling with the set-up of his #84 bike, Czech rider Kornfeil improved his time by six tenths and concluded the session just 1.200s off provisional pole.
Teammate Khairuddin made a promising start, remaining within the top twenty for the majority of the forty minute session, before having to settle for P25 in the final minutes.

“We made some changes on the bike today but it wasn’t any better. I was struggling with this in free practice three but there wasn’t enough time during the session to make the change. I feel a lot happier with my physical condition today which helped to improve my riding, so this is good, but we must improve the set-up for tomorrow. I hope that we can now solve the issue that we had and be in a good group for Qualifying.”
#84 Jakub Kornfeil
“In free practice three we really wanted to push and set up the bike very well because today there was only one practice. Our aim was to be up with the front runners from the start but unfortunately we could not improve enough with the gearing. Going into the fast corners I was losing so much speed, so we have to work on this. Obviously I am not happy about my feeling here at this moment but I know when we fix this, we can go faster.”
