The ONE Energy Racing rider travels to Italy for the sixth and final contest of the 2021 season, a double header.
The legendary Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli will host the last round of the 2021 FIM MotoE World Cup this weekend, alongside the San Marino Grand Prix. Eric Granado comes into Round 6 with a chance to win the title, which will be decided in the two races that will take place across Saturday and Sunday, as he aims to end his first season with ONE Energy Racing in style.
At the most recent round in Austria, Granado made a spectacular race day comeback, moving from 13th on the grid to place second. The Brazilian also has two victories and four pole positions to his name this season. He holds the circuit record at Misano and starts the weekend second in the overall standings with 73 points, 7 behind the leader.
The first 8-lap MotoE race will be held on Saturday at 4:20pm local time, with the second on Sunday at 3:30pm.
#51 Eric Granado
“At Misano we will continue with the same style of work as at the last few races, and we will look to get a good feeling with the bike to have a competitive pace from the beginning. It will be a different round to the rest, since it will be two races and we will only have two practice sessions, so we will have less time to find the best setup. Misano is a circuit that I know since I raced there in the last two years. I have a good feeling as I was quite fast last year, and I also hold the circuit record. This weekend I will do my best to get a good result for the team and for myself. They will be two very important races, especially the second one, where we will have to think about the championship. I’m confident and I am looking forward to working with my team and finishing this season in a great way.”
